Charitable Giving
NCPG has given to Christian churches directly (regardless of denomination) and we are serious about tithing and investing in God's Kingdom. We believe it all belongs to God and, as good stewards, we should be aware of the needs of the hurting. Many of our member churches have invested millions reaching out and spreading the Gospel Message and concreting it with actions of love and kindness. As a Christian organization, we exist to save Ministries money and time on all of their purchases to allow the additional savings to be re-invested back into these many outreaches...where it belongs. In addition, NCPG also invests a portion of our company revenues into national and international organizations. NCPG has supported programs like the Convoy of Hope, and other community projects since our inception (in 1987) even during years when we struggled as an organization.
This year we are again directing our giving to help in relief around the World. The two organizations we have chosen for 2009 are Safe Harbor International Relief and Samaritan's Purse. We appreciate the founding mission and the message of love and hope established in both of these organizations. With Safe Harbor, NCPG has agreed to work as a partner and is providing the following relief:
Bring an infant back from the brink of starvation.
Provide critically needed immunizations for 5 children.
Provide 2 meals for victims of disasters here in the United States.
Buy 1-2 Bibles for people who do not have the Word of God available to them.
Buy a bag of cement used to build medical clinics in Sudan.
Buy a full course of medication for one person suffering with malaria in a 3rd world country.
Provide a 100 pound sack of grain, which could feed a family of three for two weeks.
Pay 1/3 of the support necessary to keep a national worker ministering the Gospel in many 3rd world countries.
Provide a semester's worth of school supplies for a child in a 3rd world country.
Provide enough fuel for a full showing of the Jesus Film in a place that has never heard the Gospel before.
With Samaritan's Purse we are working to build an entire school this year and to provide emergency resources to areas destroyed by war and disaster. Here is some information on the projects NCPG has chosen to give to through Samaritan's Purse:
Millions of children worldwide have never seen the inside of a classroom. Many live in desperately poor communities where schools have been destroyed by war, disaster, or decay. In some cases, affordable schools are simply too far away. With adequate education, they can rise above their circumstances, reach their potential, and discover what God has in store for them, including the blessing of reading His Word.
Can you imagine what it would be like to lose everything you have in a matter of moments? Each year, wars and natural disasters rob thousands of families of their homes and belongings. Many are left without even a pot to cook in. Survival kits – containing bottled water, blankets, cooking supplies, hygiene items, and other essentials – are a practical way to help families struggling to survive the first crucial days after a calamity.
